On Saturday April 25, 2015, a 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck near Kathmandu, Nepal, causing widespread devastation. Thousands of people are reported dead and many more are injured or missing. The Canadian Red Cross along with the Nepal Red Cross will be working to provide the most urgent needs including emergency medical assistance, clean drinking water and food. The Canadian Red Cross Nepal Region Earthquake Fund is collecting

donations to help the affected areas and to bring additional relief materials to the region.
