Tickets are valid for the screening of Suicide Squad on August 3rd, 2016 at the Scotiabank Theatre (900 Burrard St.) in Vancouver. Prize winners will be able to claim their tickets from the London Drugs at 710 Granville St. once the winners are announced.

London Drugs launches food donations direct from Web to Western Canada’s local food banks

Goal is to raise 80,000 pounds of food this summer for people in need

The annual food fundraising tour, Five Hole for Food (FHFF) kicks off in St. John’s on July 1^st and this year, there are new ways for the public to support local food banks during the summer, one of their toughest times of year.

“People generally donate to their local food banks during the winter,” said Richard Loat, CEO and founder of Five Hole for Food. “We run FHFF during the summer specifically to fill the needs of empty food bank shelves.”

London Drugs Foundation donates $15,000 to Covenant House Vancouver

The London Drugs Foundation contributed $15,000 to Covenant House Vancouver. The funds will go towards purchasing milk for the youth of Covenant House Youth can receive access to nutritious milk whether they are staying at Covenant House or are accessing the drop-in program. Milk is crucial as one of the ways that Covenant House shows its youth they are valued is by giving them good, healthy food, and in addition, milk contains essential nutrients which are critical for these youth as they are young adults and many are still growing.

London Drugs provides wireless pin pads for donations to the Salvation Army

In 2011 London Drugs provided the Salvation Army with wireless pin pads at two locations to increase their donations. With the continued trend of people carrying less cash and more cards in their wallets, this year London Drugs is providing kettle workers at four of its largest locations with wireless pin pads this holiday season.

From Saturday December 15 until Monday, December 24, four locations will offer the ability to make a donation to the Salvation Army using debit and credit cards.
