The London Drugs Foundation contributed $15,000 to Covenant House Vancouver. The funds will go towards purchasing milk for the youth of Covenant House Youth can receive access to nutritious milk whether they are staying at Covenant House or are accessing the drop-in program. Milk is crucial as one of the ways that Covenant House shows its youth they are valued is by giving them good, healthy food, and in addition, milk contains essential nutrients which are critical for these youth as they are young adults and many are still growing.
Covenant House is celebrating its 18th year of providing care to Vancouver’s street youth, with over 120 volunteers and 55,000 donors. The organization continues to augment their carefully designed continuum of care and continually improves upon their services, driven by the ultimate goal shared by all 21 Covenant House sites: that there be no youth on the street.
