It’s October! We’re headed into the winter months when it becomes a little more OK to spend your time indoors looking at your TV. Maybe that’s why we have such a busy month for new games coming up! Let’s take a closer look at all 14 new releases for October plus a whole new game platform!
Paper Mario: Color Splash
Someone is draining all the colour from Prism Island and it’s up to you to stop them, recover the paint stars, and return them to the colour fountain in the center of the island! Paper Mario: Color Splash is out on Nintendo Wii-U on October 7th!

Gears of War 4
It has been 25 years since Marcus Fenix and his companions defeated the Locust and Lambent and for that time there has been peace. Now a new enemy is rising and it’s up to Marcus’s son, JD Fenix, and his friends to stand up to this new threat. The highly anticipated Gears of War 4 has all the features you remember from the original trilogy plus new weapons and attacks, including a combat knife for melee attacks. Likely to be one of the biggest games of the year and exclusively on XBOX One, you can get your copy on October 11th.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration
Lara is back! Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration includes the award winning Rise of the Tomb Raider and all the existing DLC packs, plus an all new episode called “Blood Ties” in which you can explore Lara’s childhood home and Lara’s Nightmare in which you defend it against a horde of zombies. Better yet, Blood Ties will be playable in first person with PlayStation VR! Also added are a new extreme survival mode with no checkpoints, and co-operative play support in endurance mode so you can raid the wilderness with your friends! Batman: Arkham VR
Speaking of PlayStation VR, London Drugs is a launch partner! Available on October 13th the new system is a must have addition for the PlayStation 4. The headset tracks full 360 degree movement meaning full immersion into your favourite games, or watch 360 degree videos and photos. If full immersion doesn’t work for you, you can also sit back and play your games on a virtual 5 meter screen! Worried that your gaming will become a solitary experience? PlayStation VR can render 2 images, one to the headset and one to your TV, so you can still play with your friends!

Kings Quest: Complete Collection
Released as 5 episodes over the last year, King’s Quest has King Graham reflecting on his life of adventure, weaving stories of his past to his granddaughter Gwendolyn. Now, all five chapters plus an exclusive epilogue will be available in King’s Quest: The Complete Collection. You can get the whole story on October 18th on PlayStation 4 and XBOX One!

Batman: Return to Arkham
The Cape Crusader is is back in two of his most critically acclaimed stories, remastered for the next generation of consoles. Batman: Return to Arkham includes Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City completely remade in the Unreal 4 engine, with updated models, environments, and lighting, as well as all the previously released DLC for both games. A must have for anyone that didn’t play them when they were new, or for anyone who did! Batman: Return to Arkham will be released on October 18th.

Battlefield 1
That classic Battlefield gameplay, but for the first time set in World War 1. This is Battlefield 1, the fourteenth entry in the series! Use all the weapons of the first world war, from bolt action rifles to sabres and trench clubs, take command of artillery, and pilot biplanes or zeppelins, or even ride a horse into battle.
It was called the war to end all wars and you will get a taste of why. Battlefield 1 will be available on PlayStation 4, XBOX One, and Windows on October 21st, or pick up the Deluxe Edition 3 days early on October 18th and get exclusive extra content!
Mark McMorris Infinite Air
Don’t know who Mark McMorris is? You will soon! Join the Canadian snowboarder in the most authentic snowboarding video game to date, with mountains generated procedurally as you play the game in 100+ square mile maps! Mark McMorris Infinite Air will be out on October 25th on PlayStation 4, XBOX One, and Windows.

Minecraft Story Mode: The Complete Adventure
Jesse is a new player to Minecraft, just learning how to build and craft, when he, or she, is thrust into an adventure to find the Order of the Stone, the five great adventurers who saved the Minecraft world! Titanfall 2
The sequel to the acclaimed Titanfall is here! Fight on your feed until you earn enough points to summon your Titan, a giant mech that makes up for its slow speed with armour and firepower! This time you will have new abilities as a pilot and streamlined gameplay for the game’s signature parkour elements, and 6 all new Titan models to choose from. Also new, Titanfall 2 will be available on PlayStation 4 and Windows in addition to XBOX One. Skyrim: Special Edition
One of the greatest games of the last generation is finally brought to this one. Take your place as the last of the Dragonborn, quest around the world and learn the language of the dragons, the powerful Thu’um spells you shout in that tongue, and once you gain enough power take the fight to Alduin the World Eater, the most powerful dragon in the land.
This game is a must have for anyone who loves epic stories and epic battles! The Skyrim Special Edition will be available on PlayStation 4 and XBOX One on October 28th!
