Always label with date and contents
OMG I have wanted one of these for ever. My tip is. When you get your groceries home. Separate your meat right away in freezer bags. Get all the air out by using a straw as I do to avoid freezer burn.I seal the top of the bag and then open just enough to get the straw in to suck out all the air. Kinda grouse. But you do what you have to do with what you have. It keeps the meat from forming frost and going bad. You can usually get 95% of the air out if you do it right.
I’ve had mine forever could use a new one but can’t afford so to win one would be wonderful!
I would so be thrilled and grateful for a Foodsaver. I’ve needed one but there always seems to be something else that needs to be the priority for the kids. I would be so happy to use. thank you so much for the chance to win a great and practical gift. this is for Mommy.
Be awesome to win! Merry Christmas!
I buy large packs of meat that is marked down and repack in amounts i need which saves me a fair amount of money, i do this with veggies and anything i can freeze. this saves me about one half of the regular cost of food, as the store i buy from marks things down to 50 % off when items are close to the end of the best before date.
Right now as I just did this morning. I split up the meat that I buy and After I have it all split and placed in bags.I use a small straw to suck out all the air to keep it from any freezer burn. It is kinda grouse but you have to do what you have to do when it comes to saving money. Food is expensive and I can’t afford to throw it away because it gets frost bitten. I have always wanted one of these but have just not been able to get one. I really thank you for the chance at wining one because as I said. It’s really grouse sucking the air out of the bags. Especially when you get some of the meat or juices coming up the straw.
Great for sealing bulk packages of meat or leftover , make sure to date
Before freezing.
Buy foods to use in multiple meals. Make 2 lasagnes at a time, one for the freezer.
London Drugs has everything !
This was one of the best investments I made but it has since broke, would love to have another to keep all my food fresh in the freezer.
Love London drugs cloverdale it is my favourite store ever
I need this to help keep my Xmas baking fresher.
Just what I was asking for
Sounds like a great item
I like to make up many meals and preserve them for future days. it is also nice to fix up for a gift.
This would be an awesome gift.
My favourite Foodsaver tip is sealing all leftovers 🙂
I’d love to win this!
My tip is to freeze any thing and you always have a meal in no time.
i wish i can win this
I know a family member who has one of these and I am so jealous.
That would be a great gift for me under the Christmas tree.
Wrap your fish with the food saver & it’s as fresh as out of the water
I remember my Mom’s Christmas Ice Box cookies, she would make the dough, shape it in logs, wrap and freeze it. Then when company was coming, she would slice off as many cookies as needed, and bake them. Great to have on hand for fresh cookies without any fuss.
When leftovers are tiring especially with turkey then pick up some pastery and make turkey pies or shepherd pies then freeze them.
