A grinch who stole several brand new TVs and computers from a group of Langley Secondary special needs students hasn’t been caught, but there is a happy ending.
The brand new equipment was stolen from their school over the weekend, but now London Drugs has replaced it. President and CEO Wynne Powell says a Langley store manager told head office about the sad situation. “Here they are. They are physically challenged, they are autistic, and [facing] other issues that make their lives more challenging than many people in society, and we just felt that this had to be repaired.”
The kids raised the money for the electronics through bottle drives. Powell says he was glad to help. “You can imagine how many bottles and such that they had to collect to put together over $5,000 worth of money to buy this very necessary equipment to help them in their lives.”
