As we watch the live feeds on what is happening in Calgary, we all want to know what we can do to help the individuals and families impacted by the massive flooding. At London Drugs, we have been communicating through the night and this morning with our local Calgary store managers and district managers to determine how our stores and staff are being affected. Crucial to us at this time is that our staff are safe and that our pharmacies remain 100% operable for London Drugs’ patients and customers. As of 11 am Calgary time, all of our eight Calgary stores are open, although some staff have had difficulty getting to work with the road closures and Mayor Nenshi’s responsible request that people stay home at this time.
London Drugs is distributing water and supplies to our Calgary stores as quickly and responsibly as possible.
London Drugs is also activating an opportunity for Western Canadians to donate to the Red Cross Alberta flood relief efforts at all of our cashier tills at all London Drugs’ 77 stores.
