October is upon us! A ton of new games are coming out in anticipation of the holiday season and there isn’t a moment to lose so let’s dive right in!
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga for Nintendo 3DS
The evil Beanish witch Cackletta has stolen the voice of Princess Peah! Mario and Luigi have to go on an adventure to the Beanbeen Kingdom to get it back! In this update to the classic GameBoy Advance game you’ll get to revisit the story you love with updated graphics and audio, as well as a whole new story that follows Captain Goomba as he gathers minions and rescues Bowser!

Middle Earth: Shadow of War for PlayStation 4 and XBOX One
Return to the land of Mordor once more! In this sequel to the critically acclaimed _Shadow of Mordor_ you once again play as the ranger Talion and the spirit of the Elf-lord Celebrimbor. Following from their victory over Sauron in the previous game they forge a new ring of power in the fires of Mount Doom and use it to assemble an army and overthrow the dark lord!

The Evil Within 2 for PlayStation 4, XBOX One, and Windows
It has been three years since Detective Sebastian Castellanos was dismissed from the police department because no one believed his story. The corporation Moebius had created a device to send minds to another dimension. Now they’re doing it again and they’ve kidnapped his daughter.
Missions can be completed by running and gunning or stealth, or anything in between this time around, plus you can find upgrade your weapons and gear using the crafting system. The Evil Within 2 will be available on 13th October.
WWE 2K18 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and XBOX One
All your favourite stars of the WWE are here! Including the largest roster ever included in the franchise at launch, WWE 2K18 includes 47 playable superstars right out of the gate. Play as current wrestlers like Jinder Mahal and Bray Wyatt, or the stars of old like The Undertaker, Bret Hart, or Andre the Giant!
_WWE 2K18_ Deluxe Edition will be available on the 13th of October with the regular edition following on the 17th.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole for PlayStation 4, XBOX One, and Windows
The boys are back again! In this sequel to _The Stick of Truth_ the town is cosplaying as superheroes and two factions have emerged. Coon and Friends and the Freedom Pals, and a superhero civil war has started between them! You once again take control of The New Kid and this time around you can choose what gender you want The New Kid to be.
_The Fractured But Whole_ will be available on 17th October in both a regular edition and a Gold Edition for PlayStation 4 and XBOX One, which comes in a steel case and includes a DLC season pass among other bonus content.
Fire Emblem Warriors for Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch
The Fire Emblem franchise is one of the biggest in the world and this time out the developed have collaborated with another franchise, Dynasty Warriors. Combining all yoru favourite Fire Emblem characters with the hack and slash gameplay of Dynasty Warriors, this game truly is the best of both worlds. Plus, this game supports all existing Fire Emblem Amiibos!
_Fire Emblem Warriors_ is out on 20th October.
Poi Explorer Edition for Nintendo Switch
Poi is coming to the Switch! The hit indie platformer has been out for PlayStation 4, XBOX One, Windows, Mac, and Linux for a while and finally switch owners can get in on the fun! You play as two explorers making their way through vast 3D worlds while solving mysteries and defeating bosses!
_Poi: Explorer Edition_ will be out for the Switch on 23rd October.
Destiny 2 for Windows
I know you feel left behind PC Gamers but worry no more. Destiny 2 is coming to PC this month and it will be worth the wait. If you have the hardware to run it Destiny 2 will run at native 4K resolutions on the PC with an uncapped framerate, so everything that the console gamers have been enjoying for the last month but dialled up to 11!
Destiny 2 will be on Windows on 24th October.

Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon for Nintendo Switch
In fine JRPG tradition this game features you as a scantily clad female warrior protecting her friend from becoming the next sacrifice to the Moon Queen as the Bride of Time. It’s up to you to make sure that she never makes it there. I could go on about the story but something tells me that the story isn’t the reason that most of you are playing this hack and slash RPG.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins for PlayStation 4 and XBOX One
This is the franchise that keeps on giving. Assassin’s Creed has taken us from the crusades all the way to the American Revolution and Victoria London, and now we’re headed back to the beginning: Ptolemaic Egypt. Here you will witness the birth of the Assassins as they fight the secret cabal that will eventually become the Templars.
This game looks great and features new fight mechanics, and a ton of new lore for the world we all love. Get your copy on 27th October.
Little Nightmares Complete Edition for PlayStation 4 and XBOX One
Still haven’t jumped on the Little Nightmares train? Good because now is the perfect time. The complete edition features not only the critically acclaimed game released back int he spring, but a season pass for all three DLC packs. The first new chapter, The Depths, already available plus two more to come later this year.

Super Mario Odyssey for Nintendo Switch
The Switch gets its first true Mario game! In fine tradition Mario must traverse many kingdoms to find and rescue Princess Peach from Bowser. The big new feature this time around, aside from a return to an expansive 3D world to explore a la Mario 64, is Mario’s hat Cappy. Mario can toss Cappy to become a temporary platform, or possess certain objects and control them!
Mario returns on 27th October.
Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus for PlayStation 4, XBOX One, and Windows
The sequel to _The New Order_ is finally here. B.J.’s story continues in 1961 Nazi Occupied America where he and his friends are fighting to ignite a second American revolution to overthrow the nazi regime. Whether you are a fan of the last game, the franchise, or just great shooters, this one is for you.
