Join Canucks mascot Fin, Canucks alumni and Ride4Hope cyclists at the finish-line barbecue at London Drugs at Morgan Crossing.

On July 10th, 2013 a team of over 50 cyclists including Canucks Alumni will participate in the 7th annual 200km Ride4Hope in support of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. The event begins at Memorial Park in Hope at 8:30 a.m. and finished at 5:30 p.m. at Morgan Crossing London Drugs in South Surrey. Along the way participants will make stops at three London Drugs locations in the group’s efforts to raise funds for Canucks for Kids Fund benefitting Canuck Place. London Drugs customers will have the opportunity to meet members of Team Zinetti as well as FIN – the Canucks mascot, who will be joining the riders for a fundraising barbecue at London Drugs in South Surrey at the Shops at Morgan Crossing when the riders return from Hope.

“As strong supporters of our local communities, London Drugs is proud to be a returning sponsor of this year’s Ride4Hope in support of the many children and families who are cared for at Canuck Place,” said Clint Mahlman, London Drugs senior vice president and Chief Operating Officer. “We encourage our customers to come out and meet the Canucks Alumni and FIN, and help support the riders in their goal of raising money for Canuck Place.”

The Ride4Hope was developed to raise awareness and funds for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, BC’s provincial pediatric palliative care provider for newborns, children and teens living with life-threatening illness and families. Team Zinetti (www.jbanracing.com) is a team of like-minded athletes who enjoy sharing “because we believe we can make a difference” supporting the Canucks for Kids Fund benefitting Canuck Place. The finish-line barbecue will feature Canucks Alumni Dave Babych, Jeff Bandura, Ken Berry, Terry Bingley, Garrett Burnett, Sean Crowther, Dean Malkoc, Gary Nylund and Philip Von Stefanelli along with Vaughan Karpan and Canucks Mascot Fin.

For additional fundraising of the Ride4Hope all Lower Mainland London Drugs will be selling Truffini’s 106 gram Chocolate bars for $2.99 or two bars for $5.00 with proceeds going to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
